Philadelphia 76ers vs. Washington Wizards: Prediction
In a typical 1-8 matchup, you’re most likely looking at a sweep. And while that could very well end up being the case, I simply don’t believe that the Wizards are your normal 8th seed. They have two stars on the roster and a supporting cast that could steal a game or two in this series.
The Sixers also have some proving to do; this is not a team that has been a perennial playoff performer. Both Embiid and Simmons have a chip on their shoulder heading into the playoffs and will need to prove that they’re a legit contender in the East.

In the end, I believe that the Sixers are too talented to fall victim to the Wizards. Washington should be proud of their late-season push, but it ends in the first round. Beal and Westbrook get one, but the Sixers, the gentlemen that they are, win this series in five.
Prediction: Sixers in 5
