Taking a look at three keys to Memphis Grizzlies’ win over the Golden State Warriors, which clinched them a postseason berth.

This matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors is a classic “revenge game” for the Grizzlies. Friday night’s matchup was a rematch of the last game of the regular season that took place about a week before.

It was a game in which the Grizzlies had a deer in the headlights look against a Stephen Curry-led Warriors team. Curry was going for the scoring title, there were back and forths off the court between the teams, and the group of experienced champions pulled out the win on Sunday, as they should.

Friday night’s play-in game for the 8th seed was a different story. Memphis took the game to the Warriors and edged out a win in overtime. Each team had their moments through the ebbs and flows of the game, but Memphis was in the driver’s seat most of the time. Memphis grew up in this game.

They went into a semi-hostile environment as there was limited capacity in the chase center, they beat a team that has two all-time greats in Steph Curry and Draymond Green, and more playoff experience than most of the league.

There are a few things that were the difference in the game and in estimation, won them this play-in game. We’ll go through these three important keys to their victory throughout this piece.
