NBA players with the most to prove: James Harden, Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets are probably the second team with the most to prove in the league (if the Heatles got a year, so do they). Two of their three stars have impressive postseason resumes.

Regardless of what you think of the team he was on, Kevin Durant has two Finals MVP awards. Kyrie hit probably the most important Finals shot of all time (or Ray Allen, whatever your flavor is). They don’t have to prove much more to us.

Harden’s postseason success is a different story. While typically excellent in the earlier rounds, The Beard has disappeared for large portions when it gets to scary hours. He’s playing with the two best teammates of his career (or CP3 I don’t care you choose) and in the traditionally weaker conference for the first time.

He runs their offense. The other stars can more than makeup in the scoring, but not as much of the playmaking. If the Nets make a surprising playoff exit, you can bet Harden will be taking much of the blame.
