Why both the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks should feel confident heading into Game 2. 

Jimmy Butler hit a game-tying layup in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter over Giannis Antetokounmpo to send the game to overtime. However, it was Khris Middleton‘s fadeaway jumper over Duncan Robinson that sealed the Game 1 victory for the Milwaukee Bucks in their first-round playoff series against the Miami Heat.

The Bucks officially hold a 1-0 series lead of the Heat in the best-of-seven first-round series.

Even though it was just one game and one win for the Bucks, you can’t help but feel like this was so much more. After losing to Miami in five games in last year‘s Eastern Conference semifinals, it’s important that Milwaukee gains some confidence early in this series.

And that’s exactly what this buzzer-beating Game 1 victory has the potential to do heading for Milwaukee. After an exciting and tense Game 1, there are reasons for optimism on both sides. We’ll take a closer look at why both the Heat and Bucks should feel somewhat optimistic heading into Game 2.
