The Milwaukee Bucks didn’t have a great offensive game

Milwaukee should feel great about their Game 1 victory because it was far from their best effort. They shot a putrid percentage from 3-point range, Giannis had an off night for his standards shooting the ball from the field,(10-27), and the Heat had 15 more 3-pointers made than Milwaukee.

If you told me before the game that Miami was going to hit 20 3-pointers and the Bucks were only going to make 5, I would’ve predicted that the Heat would be taking a 1-0 series lead into Game 2.

However, Milwaukee figured out how to overcome the disparity from the 3-point range to pull out a much-needed, conference-building victory in Game 1.

There might not be another game in this series in which Milwaukee shoots this bad from 3 and the Heat makes that many more shots than the Bucks from distance. The fact that the Heat couldn’t figure out a way how to steal this game is indicative of how different this Bucks team is compared to last season.
