14. Memphis Grizzlies – Davion Mitchell, G, Baylor

For the Memphis Grizzlies, who are still very much in the midst of an early rebuild, taking the best player available would likely be the route that they take. Davion Mitchell falling to No. 14 would be an absolute steal for this team.

Even though another guard isn’t necessarily an area of need for this team, Mitchell would be a solid addition to this core and would give the Grizzlies another player that could potentially grow into a role next to Ja Morant.

The only real concern about Mitchell is the fact that he’s arguably the oldest player that is going to be taken in the first round of the draft. I’m not exactly sure you want a 24-year-old rookie. If so, he’d have to be ready to play right away.
