NBA Mock Draft 5.0: Evan Mobley at No. 1; Warriors get richer with top 10 pick
17. Golden State Warriors – Jalen Johnson, F, Duke
Adding a player such as Jalen Johnson at this point in the first round would be an absolute steal. Even though Johnson left a bit to be desired during his abbreviated freshman season at Duke. Though, he’s an intriguing prospect that has the potential to develop into one of the better players from this draft class.
Johnson is coming off a season in which he averaged 11 points and six rebounds on 52 percent shooting from the field and 44 percent shooting from 3-point range.
18. Oklahoma City Thunder (via Miami) – Cameron Thomas, G, LSU
The Oklahoma City Thunder taking a look to find help in the backcourt would be a solid decision with their late first-round pick. Cameron Thomas could be a possibility for a team that emerged as the worst team in the league this season.
Thomas has good size for a guard but needs to improve on his shot selection. He averaged 23 points per game but was viewed as somewhat of an inefficient player in college.
