6. Golden State Warriors (via Minnesota) – Scottie Barnes, F, Florida State
Should the Golden State Warriors get a top 10 pick in this year’s NBA Draft, they should absolutely be shooting for the stars. Short of packaging this pick for an established star such as Bradley Beal, the Warriors should try and take the prospect with the highest ceiling at this point in the festivities.
Scottie Barnes might fit that role. Barnes is coming off a sophomore season at Florida State in which he left some to be desired, but his measurables and potential are too much to discount in this draft class.
Barnes is 6-foot-9 and will be able to play nearly everywhere on the floor for whichever team that takes him. He’s going to be a weapon right away on the defensive end and if he can prove he can hit a consistent jumper, the sky is the limit for Barnes.
