In the age of score-first guards, Cameron Thomas could emerge as an interesting prospect in the 2021 NBA Draft. During his freshman season at LSU, Thomas averaged 23 points per game.
Although, he was quite inefficient – even for college basketball standards. He only shot 40 percent from the field and 33 percent from 3-point range. Those are certainly concerns when trying to project him to the next level.
Nevertheless, if he can prove to improve his efficiency he has the potential to be a really good offensive player at the next level. If nothing else, he should project as a potential key offensive cog for any bench unit. That could be his floor if he lands in the right situation, not ceiling.
