27. Moses Moody, F, Arkansas
Measurables: 6-foot-8, 185 pounds, 7-foot-1 wingspan
Class: Freshman
Age: 19
Mike’s Ranking: 16
Evan’s Ranking: 33
One of the biggest reasons why I’m so high on Moses Moody is because of his measurables. He has good size for a wing and will likely project as a 3-and-D right away in the NBA. He shot 38 percent from 3-point range during his freshman season and managed to average 17 points per game despite the fact that he isn’t the best 1-on-1 offensive creator.
His length should make him a versatile defender and all that’s left is for him is to develop into a potential star. I’m not saying that he will be a future star, but if he already projects to be a contributor in a rotation as a 3-and-D wing, why am I going to cap his ceiling?
There have been many players in the past that have had a “low ceilings” that turn out to be stars. I’m not saying Moody is going to be that player in this draft, but why not?
