NBA Trade Rumors: 4 teams that should target Collin Sexton during the offseason.

After somewhat of an encouraging start to the 2020-21 NBA season, the Cleveland Cavaliers petered out over the last few months of the year and will be selecting 5th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft.

For a team that is still trying to find its way, it wouldn’t be all that surprising for there to perhaps be some big offseason shifts. One could revolve around Collins Sexton.

There is a growing belief that the Cavs ould consider trading Sexton during the offseason due to simply not having the ability to pay each of their young players and not have a clear answer on whether Sexton should be considered a foundational building block

If not, it would make sense for Cleveland to be hesitant on giving him a big extension. If they did believe 100 percent in Sexton, they wouldn’t second-guess themselves on that front. Considering that they are, at least for now, it seems as if the Cavs aren’t sure about Sexton.

That could lead to a potential trade of Sexton this offseason. If the Cavs would be willing to move forward with that idea, there are several teams that shouldn’t hesitate to pick up their phone and gauge the market for Sexton.

Sexton, coming off a season in which he averaged 24 points and four assists per game on 48 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range, would garner huge interest on the trade market.

Which teams should be interested in a potential trade? We explore five teams that should be all-in on a potential pursuit of Sexton this offseason (if he is indeed shopped).
