Look, and I understand how difficult this decision would be, but you have to come to the understanding that this team’s current core might’ve already reached its peak. I’m not sure how the Portland Trail Blazers can tangibly improve this roster heading into the offseason and that could be a sign that it’s time for a major pivot.

Trading Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum would give this team the assets and flexibility to start a new rebuild. Lillard’s trade value is quite possibly at an all-time high and the Blazers would likely get a solid haul for McCollum too.

If the front office and the team’s decision-makers agree that this team has exhausted all its possibilities, perhaps a blowing up of the roster would be in the cards. It might be time for this team to hit the reset button.
