NBA teams who should blow up their blueprint: Washington Wizards

It’s no surprise to see the Washington Wizards on this list. Even though they have one of the best players in the NBA on its roster, in Bradley Beal, this is a team that is still extremely far away from contention in the East.

Without much flexibility heading into the offseason, it would be extremely surprising if this team was able to make many, if any, substantial upgrades to its roster. Because they’re kind of stuck as a franchise, this is a team that might be better off trying to trade its biggest asset to try to find a way to an even bigger rebuild.

The Wizards could trade Beal and get a historic haul that could spark a retooling of the roster. Washington has some nice young pieces on its roster already and such a move would only help the franchise take some stronger steps forward in the future – ones that they simply can’t make at the moment.
