17. Memphis Grizzlies – Usman Garuba, F, Spain

The Memphis Grizzlies finally broke through in the Western Conference and made the playoffs for the first time in five seasons. Led by Ja Morant, there’s no question that the Grizzlies are heading in the right direction. They need to continue building, however.

Adding a player such as Usman Garuba could be a strong step in doing so. Garuba is far from a sure thing in this year’s draft but his potential is something that the Grizzlies should fall in love with.

Garuba could give them an intriguing frontcourt talent, especially if they’ve fallen out of love with Jaren Jackson Jr. The sky is the limit for Garuba even if scouts have doubted his long-term potential. Memphis should take a look.
