19. New York Knicks – Jared Butler, G, Baylor
After a return to the NBA Playoffs, the New York Knicks finally appear to be on the right track and have a bright future. I’m not sure when the last time we were able to say that with a straight face. Nevertheless, with two first-round picks in this year’s draft, the opportunity to improve is very much evident.
One fit that would make sense for the Knicks is Jared Butler. He’s not a name that many fanbases would get excited about but is one that would be an immediate contributor for the team. Especially one that needs help in the backcourt.
Butler is a natural scorer and has good size for a guard. He might not be the team’s long-term answer at point guard but could be a contributor and a bit of a stopgap if they need one.
