2. Detroit Pistons – Evan Mobley, F, USC

With the No. 2 pick, the Detroit Pistons shouldn’t try and get cute here. As the Pistons begin their rebuild, it’s clear that they need to get the best talent available, and hopefully, that means the prospect with the highest potential ceiling as well.

That could very well be Evan Mobley. Mobley showed he could do a little of everything during his time at USC and will likely showcase that even more during his pre-draft process. Mobley could end up being the best player in this draft but we won’t know for a few years.

Mobley would give the Pistons a new face of the franchise to start building around and potentially give some of their young players a talent that they could lean on in their own right. The sky is the limit for Mobley and the Pistons might be the perfect situation for him.
