21. New York Knicks (via Dallas) – Moses Moody, F, Arkansas

The New York Knicks, with their second first-round draft pick, select a player that would fit with this core and one that could potentially take on an immediate role with the team during his rookie season. Moses Moody is exactly that player and one that many scouts are torn on.

As a prospect, I love Moody. He projects as a 3-and-D wing that has great size and versatility. The knock on Moody is his low ceiling. Though, I’d argue that anyone being selected in the 20s of the first round likely isn’t expected to have a high ceiling anyway.

At least for the Knicks, this seems like a great value pick and one that could potentially pay dividends down the line. Even if he’s just a solid 3-and-D contributor, it’d be a great get for New York at No. 21.
