3. Orlando Magic – Jalen Suggs, G, Gonzaga
Even though the Orlando Magic has somewhat of a crowded backcourt with Cole Anthony, Gary Harris, Markelle Fultz, and RJ Hampton, Jalen Suggs should absolutely be the pick if he’s available for the team at No. 3. He might be the top prospect that is the most “NBA-ready” and could even be the best of the group overall.
Suggs is a good leader, has shown the ability to be a force on both ends of the floor, and is willing to play both on or off-ball – something that would help him should he be selected by the Magic.
Orlando shouldn’t shy away from drafting a player as talented as Suggs simply based on the fact that they have Anthony or Fultz on the roster. That would be a huge mistake for a franchise that needs to acquire as much quality talent as possible.
Suggs should absolutely be a top 3 pick and if he fell to No. 4, he’d automatically qualify as the steal of the draft.
