Let’s just get this out of the way: Kristaps is not a bad player at this point in his career. He’s still just 25 years old and is coming off a season in which he shot a career-high (47 percent) from the field. He also shot 38 percent from 3-point range.

In each of the last three seasons (two with Dallas, one with New York), Kristaps has averaged at least 20 points and seven rebounds per game. While he may struggle defensively, he’s still an extremely talented offensive player.

For a team such as the Charlotte Hornets, adding an offensive talent such as Kristaps is not something that always arises itself. Even though Kristaps hasn’t lived up to expectations, he would make an intriguing duo next to LaMelo Ball in Charlotte.
