Offseason trade targets for the Dallas Mavericks: Buddy Hield

Buddy Hield could be an interesting name to keep an eye on heading into the offseason, especially for a team such as the Mavs.

The rise of Tyrese Haliburton in Sacramento could make Hield somewhat expendable if the Kings wanted to. If they don’t feel he is a big part of the team’s future, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them test the trade waters for him this offseason.

Hield is coming off a season in which he averaged 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists on 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. If the Mavs aren’t sold on Hardaway Jr., Hield could be a replacement for him.

Even though Hield has pretty much plateaued as a player, he’s still a good shooter and a player that would likely improve offensively by playing next to Doncic.
