Honorable mentions

Rui Hachimura, 23, Washington Wizards – Rui Hachimura is an underrated player for the Wizards. Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook garnered most of the headlines this past season in Washington, but Hachimura is certainly a player to keep an eye on. He is coming off a season in which he averaged 14 points and five rebounds on 48 percent shooting from the field.

Tyler Herro, 21, Miami Heat – I don’t think a sophomore slump has hit a budding star more than Tyler Herro over the last few years in the NBA. Even though Herro was a shell of his former bubble self, he’s still considered a player that could end up being a really good player. It’ll be interesting to see how he’s able to recover after a less than stellar second season.

James Wiseman, 20, Golden State Warriors – After watching his season cut short, it’s a shame that we didn’t get to see a healthy James Wiseman throughout this season. Still, he was productive and flashed glimpses of true potential during his rookie season in Golden State. Wiseman concluded his rookie campaign by averaging 12 points and six rebounds on 52 percent shooting from the field.
