Priorities for the Boston Celtics: Hiring the right head coach

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the early candidates for the Celtics’ head coach are Chauncey Billups, Darvin Ham, Charles Lee, Jamahl Mosley, and Ime Udoka. This is a solid starting list for the coaching search and Stevens and his staff appears to be on the right track.

It’ll be important that this team makes the right choice for the team’s next head coach. The Celtics need to find the right leader that will be able to take this team to the next level. As good as Stevens was in the head-coaching role, he failed to elevate this team beyond (unlikely) runs to the conference finals.

I’m not sure what the right fit for this current Celtics’ core is, but this is absolutely not something that they can make a mistake with. The last thing that this leadership group needs is to start on the wrong foot.
