Los Angeles Lakers trade target: Buddy Hield

Another option for the Lakers, especially if they let Schroder walk or pursue a sign-and-trade deal for him, could be Buddy Hield. He’s in an interesting circumstance with the Sacramento Kings where the rise of Tyrese Haliburton perhaps makes him a bit expendable on the open market.

Hield’s contract isn’t terribly expensive and is something that gets better over the next three years. Even in a “down” season, Hield was able to average 17 points per game on roughly 40 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Hield could get his career back on track by playing next to LeBron and Davis – two players that would automatically be the best players he’s ever played with. You can’t help but wonder how good Hield could be by playing next to such great players. It could be a win-win for both the Lakers and Hield.
