NBA teams that should buy low on Kemba Walker: Oklahoma City Thunder

Heading into next season, it’s probably time for the Oklahoma City Thunder to start making moves to upgrade its roster. They have a strong young piece in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and would benefit from adding another star-caliber player to help this team take another step in their progression.

Even though Kemba is far from the final answer for this team, he could be a great stopgap for a team that is still trying to build around its current core. And if Kemba works out in OKC, perhaps it’s something that can turn into somewhat of a long-term pairing.

Especially if taking on Kemba’s contract would come with an additional asset from Boston, who might be desperate to rid themselves of him, this could turn out to be a win-win for OKC on several fronts.
