Exploring four top priorities for the Brooklyn Nets heading into the offseason.

There are a lot of ways to process and assess the Brooklyn Nets’ season, which included some very high highs and a second-round series for the ages. Like any big three, the health of the team’s superstars is paramount to everything, but key moves around the fringes could make a difference moving forward.

Here are four items to prioritize this summer.

Brooklyn Nets priority No. 1: Re-sign Blake Griffin and Jeff Green

I was at Game 5, to see Uncle Jeff Green and Blake Griffin keep the game close enough for Kevin Durant to close it with arguably the greatest playoff game of his career.

In the regular season and playoffs, both guys played with a lot of heart, and Blake in particular proved to be a much better defender than his reputation suggested.

Joe Tsai and Sean Marks are likely expecting both guys to take vets minimums to stick with this 2022 championship frontrunner, but even if it costs a little more to keep them, it’s worth it for two-way combo forwards with playoff pedigree and toughness.
