NBA Draft Thought No. 2: You can’t help but feel happy for the Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons winning the draft lottery should bring some feel-good to this year’s NBA Draft. The Pistons are struggling as a franchise and this is the lifeline that they need to get back on track. And doing so with a prospect such as Cade Cunningham will be fun to watch.

The Pistons will likely be heading into next season with the new face of their franchise on the roster and it will be great to see him grow with this team’s young core. Cunningham will likely be the top overall pick, short of something drastically changing between now and the draft.

For the first time in a long time, the Pistons can feel good about their future. That’s thanks in large part to winning the 2021 NBA Draft Lottery. They simply can’t mess up this golden opportunity.
