Monty Williams should channel his inner Mike Leach after the Phoenix Suns struggle in Game 3

After watching Game 3 of the Western Conference finals, I couldn’t help but think about the legendary locker room rant that Mike Leach gave his former Texas Tech Red Raider football team after a bad loss to Baylor.

If you haven’t seen it, I can’t recommend it enough. If I’m Monty Williams, I’m going over my “Mike Leach Rant” notes in the locker room and then laying into the Phoenix Suns. After multiple cuss words and some hilarious sarcasm, Leach breaks down the reasons why Tech had lost to Baylor that night.

He broke it down very simply while yelling:

"“They beat us on all our goals, be a team, be the most excited to play, and be the best at doing your job. They beat us at all of em!”"

As I’m watching Paul George blow kisses into the crowd after a halfcourt buzzer-beater to end the third quarter, and seeing Pat Beverly and Reggie Jackson beat their chest like they are first ballot hall of famers, I couldn’t help but think about Leach’s three goals to every game.
