Three goals for the Phoenix Suns in Game 4: Be a team

The Suns all season have never had this issue, seems like an odd team to be out of sorts. They missed assignments defensively, they started off slow and had to play catch up the entire game it seemed like.

I’ve never seen a Chris Paul-led team look flustered in their halfcourt offense, even Paul was out of it. Phoenix didn’t shoot well from the floor, 38.9 percent as a team, and they didn’t make up for it on the defensive end either as the Clippers shot 45 percent from the field and shot 24 free throws a team.

Monty Williams eluded to this in one of his two timeouts in the second half:

"“They’re are no 15 point plays, we have to chip away at this thing.”"

Once again, he was exactly right, but it didn’t seem to resonate with his team. I saw a lot of forced shots, long jump shots without any passes during possessions, even a bit of hero ball towards the end from both Booker and Paul.
