Miami Heat trade targets: Jerami Grant, Detroit Pistons

If the Detroit Pistons are looking for a restart around Cade Cunningham, who will almost certainly be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, there’s a chance that Jerami Grant could be traded.

If so, the Heat should absolutely be interested. And there’s a good chance that the Pistons would also be interested in Herro, considering his age and fit next to a player such as Cunningham. Herro would be a good fit next to Cunningham and Grant could potentially be the Heat’s answer for the stretch-4 position (assuming they still view Bam as a 5).

A Herro-Grant trade straight up might not work, but it’s certainly a framework that both teams could start with. If the Heat is 100 percent confident with Bam as a 5, there might not be better options than Grant on the trade market.
