NBA Trade Rumors: Exploring 5 teams who should be interested in Tyler Herro during the offseason.
The Miami Heat is expected to be one of the most active teams heading into the offseason, especially considering there are only five players currently on the roster. As rumor season begins in the NBA, there was one particularly interesting one involving the Heat that surfaced recently.
According to Ethan Skolnick of Five Reasons Sports, there’s reportedly a “75 percent chance” that Tyler Herro is traded during the offseason. Herro endured a sophomore slump this past season with the Heat and after failing to make another jump in his progression, he simply doesn’t fit with Jimmy Butler’s timeline.
From all indications, it seems like trading Herro would have more to do with trying to win in Jimmy’s timeline more than it has to do with the organization not believing in Herro in the long term.
Maybe – and hopefully – Herro ends up being a really good player in the NBA, but the Heat is entering an offseason in which it needs to prove to Jimmy that they will make the effort to win now. Unfortunately, that will likely have to come at the expense of Herro (who is the team’s best non-Bam Adebayo trade chip on the roster).
If Herro is indeed on the trade block, we explore five teams who should be at least somewhat interested.
