Ben Simmons to the Indiana Pacers
The trade: Ben Simmons for Malcolm Brogdon and either TJ Warren or Jeremy Lamb
Now, this is a deal that makes sense for both teams involved.
If you’re the Indiana Pacers, you get a legitimate potential superstar who, despite his postseason struggles, is still only 24 years old.
Simmons would be a great fit alongside Domantas Sabonis. Even though Sabonis loves to work down on the block, Sabonis has exceptional range and great passing ability for a big man that would benefit Simmons. Plus, Simmons wouldn’t have to change his game all that much.
Rick Carlisle could just hand the keys to the franchise over to Simmons and play a similar style of basketball to the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Pacers could play an up-tempo style of play, with Simmons surrounded by shooters and guys capable of creating their own shot, which they already have in Doug McDermott, TJ Warren, Caris LeVert, Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, and Justin Holiday.
As for the Sixers, they would get an incredible pass-first point guard in Malcolm Brogdon who would fit perfectly with Joel Embiid. Brogdon is an exceptional shooter and a more than capable defender. Plus, Lamb or Warren would give the Sixers another scoring threat that they have so desperately lacked.
