The Boston Celtics, especially now with Brad Stevens taking over basketball operations, could emerge as a real threat to land Lillard. This could be a move that Stevens attaches himself to and one that would accomplish this team shuffling the roster.

When it comes to a potential package that the Celtics could offer, they have good young tradeable pieces such as Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Romeo Langford, and others in addition to future draft picks.

A duo of Lillard and Jayson Tatum (assuming he’d be off the table) would emerge as arguably the best in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics would automatically re-emerge as a true threat to win the East and the Stevens era in Boston would be very much underway.
