By all accounts, it appears the Warriors want to package the seventh and 14th overall picks in the draft for a complementary and already established NBA player.

Steph Curry is 33-years-old, Klay Thompson is 31-years-old and has not played a game in two years, and Draymond Green is also 31-years-old.

Essentially, the Warriors’ window to be title contenders is quickly closing.

If the Warriors are unable to find a trade partner that is with the value of trading two lottery picks, they might be better off selecting one of the more experienced players in the draft rather than try their luck developing a 19-year-old.

Kispert is a sharpshooter who will come into an organization and know his role from day one, which will be purely scoring-based.

For the second consecutive season, Kispert shot 50/40/90 splits for the Bulldogs, ultimately shooting 62/44/87 in his senior season.

The thing that hinders Kispert from going higher than this range in the draft is that he does not have the ball-handling or wiggle necessary to be much of a playmaker at the next level.

However, when you play on a floor that has both Curry and Thompson on it, you do not have to worry about stuff like that. Playing with two of the most elite 3-point shooters in basketball will allow Kispert to focus on being a catch-and-shoot type player.

Fourty-four percent of field goal attempts from the Warriors this season came from 3-point range, the fifth-highest amongst all the teams in the NBA.

While Curry averages 12.7 3-point attempts per game, there are only three other players on the Warriors roster who even average five 3-pointers per game in Andrew Wiggins (38%), Jordan Poole (35%) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (31%).

Kispert gives the Warriors a catch-and-shoot toy for Curry to use at his disposal, and at 22 years old, Kispert has pretty much hit his ceiling, so Steve Kerr will not have to worry about figuring out how to develop him.
