NBA Rumors: Could the New York Knicks swipe Chris Paul away from the Phoenix Suns?
There’s no player that has done more to cement his legacy over the last few weeks than Chris Paul. Even though he was considered a great player, the lack of true playoff success is a dark cloud that has hovered over his career.
Though, this postseason, that has all changed. After being a vital part of the Phoenix Suns’ run to the NBA Finals, Paul’s legacy as an all-time great has been somewhat complete. Winning the NBA Finals would all but punctuate his career.
Interestingly enough, after this successful postseason run, Paul could be a free agent during the offseason. And at the age of 36, he could be looking for one more big payday after the success that he’s experienced this season.

With the assumption that Paul will be back in Phoenix, especially if they win the title, I don’t think we can entirely eliminate an outside chance that he could test the open market. One interesting possibility, according to a recent report, is finding his way to New York.
The Knicks have been searching for a point guard for the past few seasons but have failed to find the long-term answer. And while Paul may not be the long-term answer, he would be the best stopgap that they could get.
And not only a stopgap, but also the lead star that they will be heading into the offseason chasing.
Paul was a big part of the Suns’ turnaround and you can’t help but wonder what type of impact he could have on such a young talented team as the Knicks, who finished as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference this past season.
Even though Paul’s best years as a basketball player are behind him, he’s still one of the best players on the planet. He’d be a great addition to the Knicks and would be a great next step in their progression.
Question is, can the Knicks pry Paul away from the Suns? It’ll be especially difficult to do.
