Keys for the Phoenix Suns: CP3’s ability to close out games
Whenever the opportunity comes for Paul to close out games, he rises to the occasion. In the Game 4 series-clinching victory against the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Semifinals, Paul had 37 points, seven assists, and two steals while scoring 13 of his 37 points in the fourth quarter.
Paul had an even better clutch performance against the Clippers in the WCF as he had one of the most spectacular individual performances in NBA playoff history scoring 41 points with eight assists and three steals while scoring 19 points in the fourth quarter on an efficient 7-9 from the field.
Paul tied his playoff career-high of 41 points and it was the second-most points scored in a playoff game by a player 36 or older joining Hall of Famer Karl Malone as the only other player to accomplish that feat. Certain gifted players have the uncanny ability to close out games as Paul has proven he is dangerous in the clutch time and time again as a savvy veteran with lots of valuable experience.
If the game happens to be on the line in the fourth quarter, the Bucks better pay special attention to Paul due to his ability to his team over the top during crunch time.
