Five under-the-radar free agents that could improve the Los Angeles Lakers roster.

Coming off a disappointing title defense, the Los Angeles Lakers will enter the offseason with the hopes of improving the roster. The big problem with that is that they don’t really have much wiggle room to operate with – especially if they plan on re-signing Dennis Schroder.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis are, understandably, locked up to big-money deals and the whispers are that Schroder, who is an unrestricted free agent this summer, will be seeking a $100 million deal.

If the Lakers decide to pay him that, they won’t have much more money to spend on other free agents. With that said, there are still other potential players that Los Angeles could pursue whether they elect to let Schroder walk or re-sign him – whether that be via sign-and-trade or through low-money deals.

As the NBA offseason inches closer and closer, we explore five under-the-radar free agents that could vastly help the Lakers return to contender status next season.
