Los Angeles Lakers’ offseason target: JaMychal Green

Heading into the offseason, it’s likely that the Lakers will be looking to add to their frontcourt. One potential fit for what Los Angeles could be looking for, after their experiments with Marc Gasol and Andre Drummond this season, is JaMychal Green.

Green is another modern big that could be a fit next to Anthony Davis. Green can do a little of it all on the offensive end, as he can score in the post and even stretch the defenses with his 3-point shooting ability.

Assuming that the Lakers want to move on from Drummond during the offseason (especially if he’s looking for a big payday), Green could very well be an option for the Lakers. And a relatively cheap one, if the market for Green doesn’t develop.

Green averaged eight points and five rebounds per game on 46 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from 3-point range this past season for Denver.
