Dame Forces his way to The Big Apple

New York Knicks receive: Damian Lillard

Portland Trail Blazers receives: RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, Immanuel Quickley, Kevin Knox, the 19th and 21st pick

This trade only happens if Dame demands a trade and forces his way to New York, or if the Knicks are on his short-list of teams he’d want to be traded to.

This is another trade that is unlikely to happen because there are teams that can make much better offers to get Dame than the Knicks, but if Dame says it’s New York or nowhere, then it could, maybe, possibly happen.

If you can’t tell already, I’m a Knicks fan, and I’m praying to the basketball gods that he ends up in the Big Apple.

The main problem with this trade is why would the Blazers do it?

Well, if Dame demands a trade, or he gives a list of four or five teams he’d like to be dealt to then the Blazers might not have much of a choice.

Plus, getting Barrett, Toppin, Quickly, and Knox is a pretty nice haul. They are all very young players that have shone much promise in their short time in the NBA. Well, all of them except Knox. Maybe he just needs a change of scenery. Then add the 19th and 21st pick in this year’s draft and you got yourself a deal.

If the Blazers wanted more picks in this hypothetical deal, I’m sure the Knicks would do it. Knicks fans are begging for a star to come play in Madison Square Garden. Dame Time,” in MSG would bring a level of basketball buzz to the city that never sleeps for the first time since the days of Patrick Ewing and John Starks.

The Knicks should do anything to get Dame. Anything! They just might not have what the Blazers want.
