New York Knicks offseason targets: DeMar DeRozan

If the Knicks are looking for scoring specifically, there might not be a better big-name option than DeMar DeRozan. Of course, there could be concerns about his fit next to Barrett and about how he could stunt his growth. Still, despite the narrative that surrounds him, DeRozan is still a really effective player.

A big three of DeRozan, Barrett, and Randle would be intriguing and you’d have to wonder how they’d work together. There would be some concern about their potential ceiling as a trio but it certainly would provide the Knicks with an upgrade.

Especially if New York isn’t able to get their hands on another big-time free agent, DeRozan should absolutely be considered. DeRozan is coming off a season in which he averaged 22 points, seven assists, and four rebounds per game on 50 percent shooting from the field. He’s also still 31 years old.
