New York Knicks offseason targets: Spencer Dinwiddie

Spencer Dinwiddie would represent another semi-risk for any team that signs him during the offseason, especially at the pricepoint that he’s likely seeking. Dinwiddie is coming off a bad injury and wasn’t especially productive during his short stint this past season.

Dinwiddie only averaged seven points and four rebounds per game this season with the Brooklyn Nets. In fairness, he never really got to get his feet under him while having to play next to Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, and only appeared in three games this season before his injury.

Signing Dinwiddie would make sense, however, for the Knicks considering he’s still just 28 years old and the likelihood that his best basketball is still very much in front of him. During the 2019-20 season, Dinwiddie averaged 20 points and seven assists per game.
