NBA Finals, Game 2 keys: Phoenix’s PnR offense vs. Milwaukee’s bigs

Even just off the eye test, it was clear that Chris Paul and Devin Booker had their way with Milwaukee’s bigs in Game 1. The Suns feasted off the Bucks in the pick-and-roll and it played a big role in Phoenix pulling away as the game went on.

The good news is that the Bucks had some level of success defensively when they resorted to small ball. The bad news is that it’s unlikely that Milwaukee head coach Mike Budenholzer would make such a rash move to start Game 2.

If Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis aren’t better defensively to start Game 2, Budenholzer is going to have to make a big decision if Paul and Booker continue to have their way with Milwaukee’s defense.
