For a team that is desperately searching for star talent to stick next to Luka Doncic, Love hittting the free agent market after a buyout would be gift from the above. If the Dallas Mavericks could sign Love without having to give anythign up, it would be a huge shot in the arm for this team heading into next season.

The Mavs need to give Luka another consistent star heading into next season and that could prove to be difficult considering where Dallas stands heading into the offseason. Love would be an absoltue gift and would allow the Mavs to use their other assets to find another piece.

Especially if the team is sold on moving on from Kristaps Porzingis, Love would be a solid replacement and a much cheaper one if the move would come after he receives a buyout for the Cavaliers.
