With the Detroit Pistons likely taking Cade Cunningham with the No. 1 pick, that leaves either Suggs or Evan Mobley as the possibility to be selected as No. 2. The Rockets are in rebuilding mode and are in need to regroup as soon as possible.
They have a young head coach in Stephen Silas who has shown to be ready to take on the challenge of transitioning this team. Suggs could thrive as a starting point guard for the Rockets as he will be utilized to the max under Silas’ system.
Suggs would become a great backcourt mate next to Kevin Porter Jr. The two players know how to light up the floor and provide a tremendous amount of offense. Suggs can also run the pick-and-roll alongside Christian Wood as well. Suggs’ competitive spirit and ability to be coachable could help be a difference-maker in the Rockets’ future.
