The pros and cons for the New York Knicks in possibly trading for Damian Lillard.
Recently, a report by Henry Abbott of True Hoops, suggested that all-star guard Damian Lillard plans to request a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers in the next few days. This is a huge deal given that Lillard has been adamant about not wanting to leave Portland in the past.
So what does this news mean for the New York Knicks? They would LOVE to add him to help build a championship-caliber roster. Adding Lillard next to Julius Randle would make a formidable duo in the Eastern Conference.
The Knicks have plenty to offer Portland that would satisfy as a major haul for them to move forward with a rebuild. But is it worth the cost? Let’s look at some of the pros and cons that would arise for the Knicks when it comes to possibly acquiring Lillard.
