In the latest installment of our NBA Mock Draft, the Golden State Warriors make a big move by acquiring Ben Simmons and Jalen Green rises to No. 1 overall.

In less than two weeks, the 2021 NBA Draft will take place. As is almost always the case, one of the biggest storylines revolving around the draft festivities will center around the league’s trade market.

The draft is generally the official start of the offseason and that will continue to be the case this year, as the opportunity for a myriad of trades arises. One player that has been at the forefront of the trade market over the last couple of weeks is Ben Simmons.

It’s likely that the Philadelphia 76ers shop him – if they aren’t doing that already – and even though it’s not a foregone conclusion that he will be traded this offseason, there’s at least a strong chance that he will be moved.

In this mock, the Golden State Warriors emerge as a landing spot and actually make the move for him. Here is the official deal:

Warriors get: Ben Simmons, 28th overall pick

Sixers get: Andrew Wiggins, 7th overall pick, 14th overall pick, and a future first-round pick

*(will offer explanations of the deal later in mock)

With that deal in place, we move to our NBA Mock Draft 8.0.
