9. Sacramento Kings – Jalen Johnson, F, Duke

Entering the 2021 NBA Draft as a big wildcard, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sacramento Kings elected to take a player such as Jalen Johnson. He himself is a huge wildcard as a prospect and he might be the biggest boom-or-bust prospect that is taken inside the lottery.

Johnson has great length, size, and athleticism. He left much to be desired during his freshman season at Duke but could end up being a star at the next level. The Kings would be betting on those chances by taking him with the No. 9 pick.

With the expectation that the Kings could end up doing some retooling during the offseason, Johnson could be a nice, fresh prospect that could inject some excitement back into the organization.
