14. Golden State Warriors – Chris Duarte, G, Oregon

Again, it would be somewhat surprising if the Warriors came away from the NBA Draft with two lottery prospects. However, for the sake of this exercise, we must make a selection on the part of the Warriors.

With their second pick, one prospect that would make a ton of sense for the Warriors is Chris Duarte. And not because he’s one of the oldest – or most seasoned – prospects in this draft class. Duarte is a guard that could help the Warriors win now and a prospect that could even crack the rotation this season.

There’s no guarantee, and there never is in the NBA Draft, but he might be the best possible selection for the Warriors at this point in the lottery – especially if they’re forced to make the best of the situation.
