NBA Mock Draft 9.0: Houston Rockets take Evan Mobley; Ben Simmons is traded
15. Washington Wizards – Alperen Sengun, F/C, Turkey
I have no idea what the intention is going to be for the Washington Wizards heading into the draft, but if they’re looking to add talent and high-end potential, there might not be a better option at No. 15 than Alperen Sengun. He’s a bit of an unknown but could develop into a game-changing talent down the line.
16. Oklahoma City Thunder – Keon Johnson, G, Tennessee
Another solid jab that the Thunder can make with their first pick outside the lottery is Keon Johnson, a player that has been mocked inside the top 12 in the past. He’s seen a bit of a drop recently but he’s one of the most athletic guards in this class.
17. New Orleans Pelicans – Trey Murphy III, G/F, Virginia
There might not be a player that has risen up draft boards over the last few weeks than Trey Murphy III. A few weeks ago, he wasn’t even mocked in the first round and now he’s close to the lottery. The New Orleans Pelicans could take a chance on one of the hottest prospects in this draft class.
18. Oklahoma City Thunder – Ziaire Williams, G/F, Stanford
There’s a strong chance that Ziaire Williams isn’t available at this point in the draft, but if he is the Thunder would be getting potentially the steal of the NBA Draft. The big question surrounding Williams, though, centers around his shooting consistencies.
