NBA Mock Draft 9.0: Houston Rockets take Evan Mobley; Ben Simmons is traded
19. New York Knicks – Jalen Johnson, F, Duke
Jalen Johnson might be one of the biggest “what ifs” in this year’s NBA Draft. He has all the tools to be a great player but, for one reason or another, failed to prove that during his freshman season at Duke. And that’s the biggest reason why he won’t end up being a top 10 pick.
20. Atlanta Hawks – Sharife Cooper, G, Auburn
After a sensational playoff run, the Atlanta Hawks will be running on a high heading into next season. It’s important that they continue to surround Trae Young and John Collins with the necessary talent for this team to continue to take steps forward. Sharife Cooper would quantify as that at No. 20.
21. New York Knicks – Isaiah Jackson, F/C, Kentucky
With their second first-round pick, the Knicks could take a shot on Isaiah Jackson. He had an up-and-down freshman season at Kentucky but the raw talent and measurables are almost too good to pass up at this point in the draft. Plus, his presence on the depth chart would give the Knicks some added wiggle room heading into the offseason.
22. Los Angeles Lakers – Tre Mann, G, Florida
The Los Angeles Lakers’ priority this offseason will likely be the point guard position. Adding one via the draft will give this team some insurance heading into the offseason. With Tre Mann still on the board, he’d be an ideal fit for the Lakers at this point. in the draft.
