Golden State Warriors: Package pick No. 14 and salary for a veteran role player

The Golden State Warriors have been known for their maneuverability in free agency over the past few years. In 2016, they signed Kevin Durant to a maximum contract that led to two titles. In 2019, they traded Andre Iguodala for a trade exception and conducted a sign-and-trade with departing superstar Kevin Durant for then-All-Star D’Angelo Russell.

In 2020, they flipped the Iguodala trade exception for Kelly Oubre Jr. after Klay Thompson’s Achilles injury.

Now, with the Warriors big three of Curry, Thompson, and Green getting older, the Warriors must work their magic again for a win-now veteran. A perfect fit in my opinion would be Pascal Siakam. Coming off a down year where he only shot 29.7 percent from 3, the Warriors could potentially entice the Raptors to deal him after coming off a down season.

The Warriors ranked third in pace last year and Siakam will certainly be able to play with the Warriors’ fast-paced style of basketball. Adding him to the collection of All-Stars makes the Dubs one of the favorites in the loaded Western Conference.
